Re: Your tennis results?!
I played my first-round match in the Men's 45 Singles (32 draw) at the Pacific Coast Seniors tournament at Berkeley Tennis Club, and I lost in straights, 2-6, 3-6. I played this guy two months ago, and I made the same mistake I did then: I got caught up in his slowball-hitting game, especially in the first set. I jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the second set (playing my aggressive, get-to-the-net-ASAP game), let a couple of break points go, and went into full Safina mode after that. I'm going to need TWO pints of Ben & Jerry's Chocolate Fudge Brownie to get over this one.

 enjoy the ice cream!
i have another 2nd team match tonight. captain is still in hospital and several players still on holiday. at least i know it will be my last 2nd team match as you are only allowed to play 9 matches per summer season and there is 7 1st team matches to be played, and this is my 2nd 2nd team fill in match.
should be a nice easy night though, shouldn't have to do too much to win my 3 sets at 2nd team level.

Re: Your tennis results?!
Today, I played my twin brother, also a poster (Kevin.) and I won, on clay 6-3,6-1
I was up 5-0 in 15 minutes, and won it 6-3. In the 2nd, I won 6 straight games to win.
We were both tired and he made so many errors. I played alright. It was our first real full match in a LONG time.

Re: Your tennis results?!
I beat my friend 6-4, 6-2 after being 1-4 down in the first set. It's the first time I've beaten him for a while too, so I'm very happy .

Re: Your tennis results?!
played a match against my friend today.. and i won.. 6-4, 6-3.. she was really good at defense but her shots were always flat so i managed to play better. She stayed in the baseline.. but she always got to my drop shots .. mainly because they land behing the service line .

Re: Your tennis results?!
I just won my first match of the K-Swiss Ultimate Tennis Summer season, 6-3, 6-2. To make it even sweeter, I beat a guy who had beaten me twice before. Instead of playing to my strengths, I played to his weaknesses (inconsistent backhand, bad footwork coming forward on short balls) and let him beat himself. My next match is against another guy I'm 0-2 against. If I said it wasn't about revenge, I'd be lying. I want this guy, and I want him BAD.

Re: Your tennis results?!
Won a practice match 4-6 4-6 7-6 6-4 7-5. Pleased as I had several break points in the first two sets to make it 5-5, bu I held in there. My new game is coming along well so I think Im ready for the summer junior tournaments around the place.
