Re: Your tennis results?!
Split sets with a friend 6-1 4-6. I won the first set easily before falling behind 1-5 in the second set. Then I fought out of some long deuce games saving three matchpoints to get back on serve at 4-5 before tamely being broken.

Re: Your tennis results?!
I won yesterday my second match in this year
I still have this hand injury but anyway I tried to not think about it
The opponent was by Daddy
In the first set he was leading *0-2 then I came back to lead 3-2*. Then I just served too bad to hold on and my dad was leading again with *3-4 But in the end I managed to win the first set with 6-4
The second set couldn't start better, I broke my dad just in the beginning of the 2nd set and was leading 6-4 *1-0
Then the collapse at 15-15 I served 3 DF's in a row and the 2nd set lasted like only 10 minutes
I lost it 1-6 (I served at least 9 DF's and made like 20 UE's in this set )
The third set began also awful I had GP at 40-30 but made again some stupid UE's that my dad broke me to lead in the final set with 0-1*, I came back, not bashing the ball so hard as I was trying throughout the whole match and some nice shots gave me the lead at 3-2*
The match was over then. For my Dad
I let him run across the court and hit FH winner after FH winner
Final Result: Adrian. def. Daddy 6-4 1-6 6-2
P.S.: We played on Red Clay court which was really slow

Cheer up, we've all been there.
So how did your opponent beat you that badly? What things did he do better?

Re: Your tennis results?!
I played a set, with a friend yesterday and won 7-6(3).
We had a bunch of amazing points, it was really fun. The best one I can think of was, I hit a dropshot which my friend barely got to but managed to slice it VERY deep to my backhand side. I had to back-track to to get in position but it was still awkward for me and my friend was at net waiting for the shot.
I like to hit cross court passes and from my position that was the higher percentage shot but he was already covering the cross court pass, so in a split second, I hit an open stance, 1 handed backhand crosscourt topspin lob, which he totally wasn't prepared for.
It landed right on the sideline.
He was also serving AMAZING. He hit like 10 aces and 5 service winners.
I play a match this evening with a guy that gives me trouble.
He plays a very hard FLAT game.
I play with topspin and I prefer the ball around chest height. His balls are low and really move through the court. We'll see how it goes.

You have tons of errors because you can't play, not because your opponent is a pusher

Re: Your tennis results?!
Played a match against this guy yesterday, he was way better than I expected!
I lost 6-4 6-4, but it didn't seem that close because I was down 4-1 in both sets before coming back. The first set was easily the worst I've played in a long time - framed like 4 backhands, and was so inconsistent. My serve, which is more of a bunt but is really reliable was bad, hit a whole bunch of double faults.
I was happy with how I played after 4-1 though, I started hitting much better and hit a lot of deep shots. He came to net a bunch, so I hit some great lobs and passing shots.
Question: how do you guys deal when you're having a BAD return day? My return is never that great, but yesterday it was shitty. This guy had a great first serve, but still, I had a really rough time hitting properly. I tried moving back, and that helped my backhand side. On my forehand though, I just kept trying to chip it back in, and it just wasn't clicking. So if you're facing a good server and your return isn't like it usually is...what kind of changes do you make?
