Im Doppel sind die beiden schon heute eine Macht und ich hoffe, dass wir sie in der Vorbereitung auf Peking noch ein paar Mal sehen. Zu Beispiel beim Wimbledonsieg. Oder so.

Wo hier alle bei ihr von Olympia reden, wie soll sie denn überhaupt reinkommen ins Draw da? Da müsste sie im Einzel noch 40-50 Plätze oder so gutmachen. Wie das im Doppel aussieht weiß ich nicht.

Allerdings haben die Goldkandidatinnen soeben in 3 Sätzen gegen Schnyder / Gagliardi vergeigt und wohl doch noch etwas Nachholbedarf

Sollte Deutschland den gleichen Maßstab ansetzen wie 2004, wird es keine deutsche Spielerin schaffen...Weingärtner erreichte kurz vor Athen sogar das Achtelfinale bei den FO, wurde aber trotzdem nicht nominiert...
Das NOK möchte, soweit ich weiß, nur Sportler mitnehmnen, die ihr Land würdig vertreten...und beim Tennis wäre das Mindestziel sicherlich Achtel oder Viertelfinale und das ist doch eher unrealitisch...pro Land sind, wenn man sich an den anderen Sprtarten orientiert, nur 4 Starter erlaubt!

Die Länder dürfen maximal 4 Spielerinnen schicken, und ich hab irgendwo gelesen, dass der Cut "bereinigt" (d.h. alle Spielerinnen die zu viel sind, also meistens Russinen, sind schon rausgenommen) bei Platz 58 liegt. Vielleicht spielt dann die ein oder andere nicht oder wird nicht nominiert, aber ich denke kaum, dass dann ein Platz nur um die 100 reicht...

Das ganze Gerate bringt uns ja nicht wirklich voran, ich habe jetzt mal geguckt, so wirklich Greifbares gibt es nicht, ABER

64 Spielerinnen im Einzel
32 Doppelteams

Anzahl der max. Spielerinnen pro Land "to be confirmed"

Beim "Cut" zählt der Weltranglistenplatz vom 9. Juni 2008.

Am 3. April müssen alle Länder ihre Meldelisten bei der ITF abgeben.

Spielen darf nur, wer im FedCup gespielt hat bzw sich zur Verfügung gestellt hat.
