Does Lindsay Davenport speak American?
And if so is she more fluent at it than Sam Stosur is at speaking Australian?

Yes she does but you can hear her Russian accent coming through.
I wish she would just change her citizenship because she's just using it as shallow way of making more money. We all know she's really russian.
I think Serena once said that she speaks american "with a coarse accent"

I think she spells "color" while Stosur spells it "colour" and both are fluent.

Breaking News: Sam Stosur was personally told by John Howard she too must also speak American and not Australian as it was no longer acceptable under his leadership to be anything but an American puppet.

Lindsay's native language is Californian. Her american is a little off. For example she says "nuclear" rather than "nucular" and "double U" rather than "dubya". It's cute, though.

This is like calling Bavaria a state itself. Although I wouldn't disagree if those people would exclude themselves... Some are quite nice though.
