Gotta love Sara on clay. So natural (assuming this is her first week on clay since Bastad?).
And, a plus side of being a Nike-girl? They get country colours for Fed Cup. I love it.  |

Hey all
I guess today's loss to Lepchenko in singles is more like a mental issue than that Sara lost her abilities to perform well on clay.
She is now #1 in Italian Fedcup team (after probably Franny and Flavia resigned from that rank) and this brings more responsibility and puts much pressure.
So this is not ordinary WTA tour encounter, you perform for you country...
... all of sudden it's 1-1 and everybody expects you to bring your team back to the lead but...
...Lepchenko hits everything in the court, Sara struggles to get key points, serves for the set at 5*4 from 24 15-40* down... however it all ends with 5-7.
Then IMO Sara mentally exploded, lost her head, went for desperate shots, lost most of variety.
Thus it went to downspiral 2-6 despite normally Sara is a fighter.
All she has to now is to rely on Roberta in singles, then hit a winner in doubles.
P.s. Also Mr. Barazzutti may have given her some hints if he figured out Sara had been completely falling apart in mental aspect.

They are really good in doubles, absolutely impressive!! I am glad they managed to win the tie, after Sara's defeat and 1-1 in the fourth match it looked scary....
