Re: Vesna Dolonc
It would be unfair if she did. They can't replace JJ and Ana, and after all that BJ and Alex did for Fed cup, it would be disrespectful to them if they were to be replaced. She can play next year ext year, she is official Serbian not more than half a year ago
If Veca reaches qfs (and plays Ana, i hope!) she will earn 60 pts and be around 125th in the rankings. And a couple more good OITF eresults, she coul skip AO2013 qualies!!!

Re: Vesna Dolonc
I have a question. Vesna was "Manasieva" when she was playing for Russia. Is her father's name Manasiev? It's not a typical Serbian name? Or she had her Russian surname after her mother?

There are surnames like Manasijev or Manasijević in certain parts of Serbia.

I had a chance to visit couple of her matches.. I saw with Voskoboeva and Halep.. Seems yes, she is progressing. I saw a coach some young guy with her who was coming out every match which I visited and telling Vesna what to do..
In match with Voskoboeva when Vesna was leading 3-1 something happened with her leg and she almost stop running.. When it was 3-4 (Vesna lost easy 3 games in a row) doctors come out on court and I saw they gave her some painkillers ans frozen up her leg. Right after Vesna won 3 games serving and receiving at very high level..
With Simona I was really surprised with the power shots of Vesna.. And almost no mistakes..
Unfortunately was unable to see match with Ana but my friend was there and told me in 1st set Vesna and Ana showed really nice level and both had a lot of winners. I read interview with Ana and she said Vesna has power shots not easy to play, good service and she hope this girl will progress and will get higher in ranking soon
I hope Vesna will continue that way.. By the way if someone can reaf russian here is rather big interview from Vesna explaining many questions about her decision to play for Serbia:
