Mary Carillo just amazed me with this comment...
...during Federer/Henman match:
"Rogers is so solid, so l iquid, that's why he's such a gas to watch!" Holy moly! 
The only thing missing is plasma and Rogers would have covered all four states of nature in Carillo's mind. 
Has anybody heard anything else so over-the-top from her?

My mom and I got into a discussion about the word gas after she said it. I was saying "Does that mean when you watch it you pass gas?" (obviously joking   )
Iwas so distracted by the word gas that I forgot how she called him a liquid, solid, and gas

If I try hard, the best I can make of it is the following:
solid - in the sense that Rogers controls the court and nobody gets past him;
liquid - in that he moves like a fluid all over the court;
gas - in that watching him can lead to an or_gas_m.
No wonder your mom couldn't truly discuss the last one with you!

Um, I don't know if you are joking about the last one, or not; doesn't seem like it. "Such a gas" is a colloquial phrase meaning that you get a thrill out of something. It's probably from the 60's-70's........ maybe people are too young to know it?!?!? It does not have anything to do with an orgasm (or passing gas)

This is a real conundrum. Mary is not in women's tennis either; she's just a commentator at the moment.
Anyway, I got "moved" a couple of times from GM and I didn't want it to happen again.
