^ I got to see her play in the Cleveland 10k. She seemed very focused and smart on the court. I've also seen pictures of her from 2 years ago and I think she lost a bit of weight and got fitter since then.

Fitness was always an issue, but I do know injuries hindered her development for a while. Focused and smart? This seems like a whole new Jamie! Good for her!

Yeah, I think she was injured for most of 2008 and 2009?
She seemed to know exactly what she was doing wrong on the court and correct it. Based on her results, it seems she's improved even more since then.

Yeah, in fact she missed an entire year, was out of action from around 9/08 to 9/09, I think. But when she came back she was better than ever, and also very fit. This year we've "seen" her play 3-setters several days in a row while also playing doubles, so she seems to be in top shape now.
I bet Oudin's surprise run at the US Open really inspired Jamie as it did a lot of the young US players.
