Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova Cheering Thread
just turned 14 over 2 weeks ago (3 July 1991)
from Samara
she won the G1 earlier this yr in Czech Rep (beating Radwanska) in the final on carpet.
since then its been a little patchy to say the least
but this week, she's doing good again
another G1 in Austria and she's into semis
and plays A Radwanska (Wim jr Champ) again.
good luck Nastya
time to get some more 90's onto the scene.

I was just looking at the results of the 2004 TATS Open (Finland), which was won by Nastya, and then I came back to RR and found this thread about her.
How freaky is that?
It must be a good sign
Good luck Nastya

Think she's the most promising Russian born in the 90's. Impressive start.

More than on the right track. Can't wait when she enters her first Challenger or even Wta event. Lots of contenders to get a Kremlin Cup Qual-WC. Shame Safina/Douchevina/Linetskaya/Chakvetadze didn't play Cincinatti and Stanford. A good result may have settled it for Safina to make the KC Main Draw without WC. Let's keep fingers crossed a few top 20 ranked won't be playing the Kremlin Cup. 2 seasons ago a 37th ranking's good enough to make Main Draw. So, still slim chance for Nastya P. to get Qual-WC at KC.

Watched her profile on Juniorstennis. Youngest player in the top 50.
Wow, she plays the U18 tournaments for quite some time. Started at the age of 12 playing them. Yep, she won a G1 on indoor carpet.

Way ahead of schedule. Only thing she misses a KC win U14. But made up by winning a G1 on carpet and now a G2. Deserves KC Qual WC like others.

Celebrates her highest Jun. ranking ever 33th. Then, she doesn't play tournament after tournament. Obviously yet to play a GS, you could say she's underranked. On the brink of top 30, impressive.
