Kaia got herself to match point with a second serve ace but couldn't get over the line. She didn't get one first serve in on that game. She got broken and went down 65. She is now at 66

It's trul great seeing her go this well in the first tournament down under. She doesn't manage usually, coming from training to a tournament.
I wonder is she is practising together with Zopp in between matches and stuff.

Well done Kaia!Great win despite huge errors.So nice to see her stay in long rallies and finish'em with winners. Schiavone match is the last one of tomorrow and will be live on Eurosport 2 according to TV schedule. |

I'm assuming that if Kaia wins her SF against Schiavone she'll have to withdraw from the Sydney qualies? 
I wish she entered Hobart instead to ensure she was playing only MDs  |

Kanepi has better odds with the bookies than Schiavone for tomorrows match. I sure hope it's correct.

Amazing win again. Without doubt the best start for the year  Barely beating a top 200 player, then taking out top 20 and top 10 
I couldn't watch Schiavone's match today, but she's not very comfortable opponent for Kaia. But maybe she's a bit tired of the 3h battle.. who knows. I wish it would be a good match
Anyway. If Kaia will lose to her, she'll have to play 2 qualifying matches in Sydney on Saturday. I don't really see it happen  |

Sydney should give her a wildcard instead of trying o convince kim Serena or Maria into playing. It wouldn't be a bad thing if she didn't play anything but Hobart is looking for a top 20 wildcard
