To celebrate Julia's slam debut - the first "washed up" day in Melbourne ever (first day completely cancelled by rain since they moved there in 1988).
Yesterday her game was listed as 4th in line on court 10, but now she'll be up first on court 13, so - assuming decent weather - is due to start in about an hour!

The opening set was won in 24 minutes and emphatic style. She broke quickly to start the 2nd but was broken right back, and didn't convert some break points later.
The key moment was in 3*-2 in the decider, when she face 4 BPs (starting with 15-40) and saved them all to hold on to her break lead. She then led 0-40, Soler Espinosa got back to 30-40 but Julia took her final BP and easily served for the match.

66% first serves, 8 aces to 3 DFs are nice numbers
