Great field at Eastbourne, bet the tickets sell like hot cakes. Justine at Eastbourne, that's just brilliant!

Maybe she thinks they're beneath her now! Mind you, I don't recall Venus or Serena ever playing there - which is a real shame for us Brits. Eastbourne is a fantastic tournament because the spectators get very close to the practice courts and the playing courts. And it's a brilliant atmosphere. I can't wait to see Justine as I have never seen her other than on TV!

Even if she did, that would leave her without a warm-up event on the grass She'll probably be at Birmingham.

Weird Maria isn't playing any warm-ups. Maybe she is doing some exhibitions somewhere? Or just relying on WCs (which are guranteed)

I actually miss Natasha. She was a great player and very entertaining. I do remember her wining Eastbourne in those weird sunglasses!
Can you recall which year Venus was there? Thanks.

Zvereva beat Venus 6-1, 6-2 in 1998 and Aranxta beat Serena 6-4, 4-6, 6-4. It was the same year Kournikova beat Graf. Novotna beat Sanchez-Vicario in the final that year.

Maybe she's following the pattern of Venus and Serena who never needed a warm-up on grass to win the title.
