Too bad,...... she got her back surgery several days before Seoul 25K challenger And went to Japan,...and ended up 1st round loss and BIG pain on her back.
She is trying her best to keep her ranking falling down,.... maybe to be chosen as a Asian Game squad,.... but it's quite dangerous,... and it can risk her whole career.
She needs rehab from the surgery NOT entering any tournament.

I hope she'll be better soon. Can you please post news whenever you have about her back situation, Eric .
And do you know what kind of injury / surgery she has had ?

Hi, Steveg.
I will post if I get some news on that. Fortunately, she has her own fan-page,.. so it's not that difficult. ( www.eunhakim.com )
So far, No news on that.
Unfortunately, on her fan page, there was no mention about the injury specifics. After doing MRI on her back, they decided to have surgery rather than using painkiller. That's all.
She had back surgery on 17 April to fix her back pain which had been annoying her for months. ( She retired from the match in US right before the surgery. )
And then she entered Seoul 25K event,..... 4 days after surgery. She said on her fan page like this,..." I have been thinking seriously for playing Seoul event,..even though many people ask not to do so. Because I was the winner from last year and this was the only event I play in my homeland,... and furthermore this year's event brosure covered my big picture and I thought I wouldn't have any problem to advance to Semi after seeing the draw,..... ... I'm terribly sorry for the fans to disappoint them. ...... I'll start my career agains as like a new commer."
But the timing was very bad. She had lots of points to defenc after the surgery (from Seoul + 2 Japanese events) and she had to prove herself to others at that time to be chosen for one of Asian Game squad which is goal for every Korean players including Mi-ra, Yoon-jeong, Jin-young, Young-Ja,....etc. ( Especially, Young-ja Choi mentions she will try her very best in Asian Games and retire right after the game. But I don't think Eun-ha or Young-ja has some chance for that. )
Only good thing is some other guys and Eun-ha Kim opened "Kim Eun-ha Camp Tennis Accademy" recently for developing junior players.
BTW, you are the one who operates the tennis site for ATP ( www.stevegtennis.com)? If so,...I didn't know that.
