I know it is almost 3 months away but am very excited for this tie. First I want to say that China is VERY VERY LUCKY to have luck on our side when we avoided drawing Russia or France, each who will be anchored by Top 10 players in singles. Also we are lucky to be able to play this tie in China.

I guess the tie will probably be in Beijing What other facilities in China meet the Fed Cup requirements of seating 6,000 people? Maybe the Masters Series Final venue in Shanghai?

Next about the teams, Germany will probably field Top 15 Groenefeld, Schruff, Muller and Woehr.

China will probably go with Na, Shuai, Jie and Zi again unless Sun / Li win Roland Garros or Wimbledon . But I don't see how Jie can be left off the team because she is the highest ranked Chinese player and has a win over Groenefeld in 2006.

I think China has a big chance to win and be in World Group I 2007. Groenefeld is not unbeatable by any means and she is very inconsistent. We don't even need to beat her if we can win the other 2 singles because we will probably win the doubles. Groenefeld is a world class doubles player but her compatriots are not.

I would prefer to see Jie play singles instead of Shuai. Jie's consistency will help her, plus the fact that she already beat Anna-Lena this year.

Why? I think either Na or Jie can beat ALG.
And in doubles China should take one point,though ALG is top 10 in doubles now,but she can't find a good partner.
I think Jie should replace Shuai in playoff as well ,because Shuai has lost to ALG twice,and Jie beat her in IW this year.

I think it'll in Beijing.
Shanghai's court is too big for it,I think it cannot attract that many audience to come there to see Fed Cup playoff match.

I also think China will win. But it's not easy. Anywey, China has the potential to win 5-0 this one. All depends that how they will play, her confidence. Also ALG. But of course that Li Na, Zheng, or Peng, can beat ALG.

It would be good if doubles match will be played on rubber 3, like Davis Cup

But, as I said, I think China will win .
