Sacha has been winning some matches in qualifying for WTA events in the last few weeks 
She is getting close to her career best ranking.

She beat Binaca Botto in the first round of Bastad quallies 6-3 6-2. And will take on wildcard Hilda Melander.

So happy to have Sacha playing for us in Aussie! Very impressed with these recent scores and a good chance to get another win there in Bastad. What she needs is a really good tournament and put her name right up there for the selectors in a few weeks. I cant see anyone more deserving at this point for New York.

Sacha is in quallies again- 3rd week in a row I think(?).
She is the top seed - hopefully she can qualify with the weak field in Baku.

In perhaps the weakest tournament all year the qualifiers get the hardest draws |

Maybe she has dedicated the past few months too developing her game? Training and playing on clay grinding away for hours and fine tuning a few things ahead of the asian events and aussie challengers at the end of the year.....

Panova #2 seed ...  Guess that's what happens with a MM tournament in the middle of nowhere the week before the Olympics Go Aussie Sacha! Get that USO wildcard!!
