"Unfortunately the long weekend in Warsaw ends in clouds and rain. The centre court is covered; organizers and spectators are patiently waiting for the rain to stop. If it does stop, the final match between Justine Henin and Alona Bondarenko will start after 10 minutes.

A decision concerning the singles final will be made after 5.30 pm."

If the weather has not improved by Monday, officials are considering splitting the prize money and points between the two players.

The unseeded Bondarenko is due to play in the Berlin Open on Monday but has asked for that match to be delayed.

Regardless of what happens, Henin will remain as world number one.

Ukrainian Bondarenko, 22, will move back into the top 30 when the new rankings list is released on Monday."
