Awesome! I stayed up til 3am watching the live scores online because they never show any tennis on TV here. Ugh. My friend stayed up and watched scores with me? Isn't he sweet? Haha.
Way to go girls! Take the title!

Hopefully Corina will win her 15th doubles title tomorow. If stubbs wins i think it will be her 52nd!

I was watching the match. First set LIsa and Sam were HORRENDOUS......couldn't get a ball in play and made a bucketload of erros to be down 5-0 in like 15 mins.....then they started playing a lot better. 2nd set they were just too good for COrina/Rennae.
Third set they dropped their level again, but Corina and Rennae picked theirs up. Sam was serving at 4-5 00-40 and saved the first two match points but at 30-40 Rennae hit a crosscourt winner to win the match, but Sam and Lisa were absolutely furious it was called in. THey were both claiming it was well wide. It's the most worked up I've ever seen Sam on the court, and she never complains about calls so I'm assuming the ball was actually wide. I was sitting on the other side of the court (as was the umpire) so it's hard to tell.
It was just a really sad way to end the match really |
