This is the cheering thread for the beautiful Elena Tchalova.
Lena won 3 10k tournaments in 2005
* Krasnoarmeisk (Russia)
* Rebecq (Belgium)
* Lleida (Spain)
she pushed her ranking from 852 at the end of 2004 to 400 at the end of 2005
her biggest win was beating Zsofia Gubacsi (#211)

Elena has trained in the TennisKing Academy in the german city Ellental. Thats why she plays many tournaments in Germany and is best on clay.

I saw her in Horb last year and she has big groundstrokes (especially her forehand was impressive) and a solid serve. I think she needs to improve her mental abilities as she was not very focused in her doubles match and made some lousy errors!
But she will go further in the rankings. I am sure about that

I think and hope its not an injury again (she has problems with her knee though). maybe Lena is just planning things differently.

Lena will play in the german Bundesliga this year for SC Ettlingen
together with Andrea Hlavackova, Antonia Tout, Sandra Zahlavova and Raluca Olaru

but I dont know why she still hasnt started her season

some signs of life
she entered 25k St.Petersburg next week, but has withdrawn

still it seems she want to start again
I am pretty sure it were her knees again that kept her from playing

Lena entered several 25k's in the week of 3rd April, but still at the alternate list
her first priority has 25k Pelham, so maybe Lena wants to go abroad

Elena still in qualifying list in $25,000 Putignano (ITA) and she withdrew from others event this week. OMG, if it's ok, Lena can play her first tournament this year! Good luck to her!

Lena also is gonna play $25,000 Patras (GRE), which starts on April, 10th because she withdrew from one of Italian ITFs and the reason is she playing in Greece

It's definetly good signs of life of Lena
