i used to have a band, i played the bass, the 1st name of our band was "apple seed" then we change it to "stool" then we ended up as "mayonnaise" but se stopped playing for a long time, and theres already a band here that is using the name "mayonnaise"

Well since I can't play any 'band' instruments (I can play piano though, which I guess could translate into the keyboard ), I'd probably be the vocalist in my band

Having said that, I'd probably be the more famous one So to make the rest of my band feel more important, I'd bestow the honor of naming our band to them

I used to play bass too!

Hate to say it but "stool" is the most horrible band name I've heard........ and I've heard a lot!!! (for obvious reasons). Are you englsih speaking or is this a bad translation?

I do like Apple Seed tho... very simple and pure.

i like "apple seed" too, most of our friends likes it, but the problem with it is that it was taken form a Japanese Anime, we didnt want to get in trouble so we came up with "stool," we were thinking about the chair, but people thought we were referring to "you-know-what," thats why we change our name to "mayonnaise"

So next year (Senior year of high school), I plan on learning to play the guitar. But since you guys seem more experienced with stuff like this, what kind of guitar should I learn to play? The regular guitar, the bass guitar, or what Which one do you think would take up 100 hours? Which one is fairly easy? Which one would be easier for me to learn to play a famous song (for example Oasis - "Wonderwall") on?

of course try learning the guitar, coz it would be easier to play the bass if you decided to be a bass player.

But don't the people in bands usually use bass? I don't really know instruments well, I just like listening

I know people like John Mayer and Oasis probably use GUITARS. But other bands use like electric guitar or bass or bass guitar I can't tell the difference between those three

So which one would you recommend? And better yet, which one is the cheapest

most band use the guitar, ussually there are 2 guitar players, the lead guitar and the rhythm guitar, then there is the bass guitar, which is the soul of the band (ofcourse, im biased here )

if youre new, then try buying the regular guitar or accoustic guitar, its cheaper than the electric guitar and it is recomended for newbies
