Yo recomiendo la edad de la ira, de Fernando J López, es lo más adictivo que he leido en mucho tiempo. Además es una novela que no tiene rellenos, y se lee en un pis pas

Terminé Llámame por tu nombre, y aunque no es el tipo de novela que me suele gustar, tengo que reconocer que está muy bien escrita, y la cuarta parte me gustó mucho. En general me ha dejado buen sabor de boca.

Ahora estoy (entre otras) con Recortes de mi vida, e igual es por que ya he entrado en la novela, pero me parece que de la mitad para delante gana mucho. Es un libro que se lee sin complicaciones y se avanza muy rápido, y lo dicho, a partir de la mitad me está divirtiendo mucho (por suerte no hay mucha gente en la playa, por que si no sería un poco cantazo con las risas). Especialmente memorable el capítulo en que Augusten y Natalie deciden convertirse en pareja artística y hacer su debut como cantantes en un manicomio.
Eso sí, miedito da pensar que está basada en hechos reales

Yo me leí hace poco una novela de Albert Espinosa, que ha triunfado mucho y por favor, menudo bodrio! Si tú me dices ven lo dejo todo pero dime ven...así se llama el estropicio y es todo tan ridículo y pretencioso que ya se me ha olvidado

Todas sus novelas tienen unos títulos larguísimos, creo que la otra se titulaba, todo lo que podíamos haber sido tú y yo si no fuéramos tú y yo, o algo por el estilo.

Debe ser algo así como el Federico Moccia español (o al menos, es la pinta que tiene)

A mí es que últimamente me ha dado por autores de prestigio, pero el cuerpo me está pidiendo un bestseller a gritos. Creo que me voy a leer el megatochazo de Collen McCullough (sí, la del pájaro espino) sobre Roma. Mil paginillas de nada, y es el primero de siete (aunque por suerte son autoconclusivos, que la novela histórica no es lo mío)

Pues la verdad es que tiene buena pinta, y en bolsillo no es nada caro.

Quiero comprarme el último de David Leavitt, que sale el mes que viene, quise leerme El lenguaje perdido de las grúas y Mientras inglaterra duerme, pero no hay manera de encontrarlos, así que hasta que a Anagrama le de por reeditarlos, tendré que conformarme con el nuevo, que ha tenido buenas críticas (algo que el pobre hombre no tenía desde hace un montón de tiempo)

Bueno, también me gustó un libro de viajes que escribió de cuando estuvo viviendo en la Toscana, estaba entretenido, pero esas 2 novelas son muy buenas.

Por cierto, te has leído Garras de Astracán? Yo recuerdo haberlo leído con 14 o 15 años y lo flipé con esos personajes y esas relaciones tan límite, lo leía con ojos como platos. Tengo curiosidad por ver lo qué me parece ahora tantos años después pero por otro lado no quiero romper el encanto de la nostalgia, me trae muy buenos recuerdos.

A mi Chulas y Famosas ya me pareció muy petardo y desmadrado. Garras de Astracán tiene momentos muy WTF pero también es más profundo, yo flipaba con la relación del profesor con el alumno de 15 años y me preguntaba por qué no me pasaban esas cosas a mi Pero contado como muy entrañable, o almenos eso me parecía a mi entonces, como una historia de amor verdadero y tal, nada de vicio a saco. Y esta fue la primera novela de la trilogía acabada con Mujercísimas y Chulas y Famosas, que para mi son muy inferiores.

A mi de Terenci, aparte de GdA, me encantaron sus memorias de 3 volúmenes. Totalmente recomendables. En cambio, el rollo Egipto me produce SOPOR. Que no digo que sean malas obras pero a mi ese rollo me aburre lo más grande.

A mí es que Egipto no me atrae gran cosa. Recuerdo que me leí dos novelas de Pauline Gedge (La dam del nilo que es histórica sobre la única emperadora de egipto, y el Papiro de Sakqqara que también está ambientada en el egipto de los faraones pero que tiene elementos mágicos) por que una amiga insistió en prestármelos. Y la verdad es que están muy bien.
Yo tengo dos de los de egipto de Terenci, pero no me ha dado por leerlos.
Para novela histórica prefiero roma, como sus batallas, sus orgías, conspiraciones y asesinatos varios

Acabo de leer La vida que sonyamos, muy cortito, se lee de una tacada y va de una pareja como se conoce y lo que les va sucediendo pero no en orden cronologico
