I need help with HTML!!

Hi, I don't know how many of you can work with HTML or just use webdesign software, but I am doing HTML for a website and I am having a problem with tables. My website is of course within one big table, the top picture in a horizontal column, text in a following horizontal column, and then two vertical columns. And in the two vertical columns, there are even smaller gray&white tables. That is where I am having my problem.

The smaller gray&white tables in the two columns don't align at the top of the columns--if one gray&white table in one column is longer than the gray&white table in another column, than the longer gray&white table will appear at the top of its column and the other table will appear in the middle of its column. So then i have to keep creating these invisible tables to even out the tables in the two columns so that all each table of both columns are aligned at the top... but this creates problems because not every browser will have the website look the same then!

okay, this is really confusing. But if someone could click the link in my signature, maybe they would understand this unevenness that I am talking about. And is there anyone who knows HTML who could look at my code and tell me what I am doing wrong or fix it for me?!?!?! thanks

Is a horizontal column the same as a row by any chance?

I'm all about pure html sites. I love that you created this site with pure html I love creating websites with just html. It can be time consuming and takes some time to figure out when you start getting complex with multiple tables and all, but your assured to have a site that everyone can view and well I just like pure html sites

Wow, thank you Jeff But I only use HTML 'cause I am stupidly oldfashioned in that I just don't know how to use any of these new wave web design softwares, nor do I even know what any of them are!! I know if I knew how to use them, I could make better websites, but I try my best

Yeah I use other programs, too, but html is how I started, and I'm still partial to html. All I have to say is that starting this way is the best I think, and especially if you just experiment with different codes. It's just always nice to have the html knowledge even if you decide to try other software.
