Which player have you tried to cheer for but just can't?
This is not a bashing thread! I just want a name...
For me, it's Serena Williams.. I have no problem cheering for Venus but there is something about Serena that makes me cheer against her...

I feel the same, I think Serena is great but I always root against her because all of her opponents are like underdogs, it gives me great thrills when she loses. I know it's mean but it's true for me, but I think she is so funny and lovely as person.

Justine Henin Hardenne. I liked her when she came in quebec city many years ago, her talent was easy to see, but I just can't cheer for her. Same with Jennifer

Maria Sharapova. I don't have an issue with her game. I think she's a pretty good tennis player. I just had a feeling during the AO match when Sharapova played Serena. It was the first time I actually got nervous for Serena. That was when I knew I couldn't root for Maria.

For me, it's Maria Sharapova. After she won Wimbledon, I tried to cheer for her in other events but that screaming got to me  Now I can't stand to watch her play at all

Some people are just putting down players they don't like.
Unless it's one of my absolute favorites (Myskina, Dementieva, Clijsters, Molik) then I usually cheer for the underdog. That doesn't neccessarily mean who is ranked lower, as I'd consider Petrova an underdog to Serena anyday.

Sharapova, Henin-Hardenne, Capriati, and Hingis. Sharapova I just don't like for whatever reason, but the other three I think have horrible horrible attitudes.

Elena D. b/c of her serve... It makes me really mad when I watch her play & she is having a terrible serving day. I like the rest of her game, but that serve just drives me crazy.
