If she is winding down the tennis to have a family, it's a shame because she could do alot more in tennis. She's only 24.

All the problem is that she strongly knows her unrealistic priorities and none is able to change that.

She's playing qualifying tomorrow at Instanbul. She was supposed to play Anna Chadvatadze but she'll have to withdraw as she's in the semifinals in Slovenia. So I guess Marta will play an Alternate.

Good win in first round qualifying at Istanbul. 7-5 6-4 over a girl ranked around 165.

Adrian. I know you are kind of obsessed with Marta, so I did my best to keep you updated.
First of all, I had a chance to watch warm-up of Marta Domachowska and Tatiana Poutchek, before they started, the high chair of umpire fell down near Tatiana. They were so shocked, their facial expressions were priceless! I have some photos of the warm-up, as well as of the accident. I'll upload them on monday.
As for the match, Marta got broken in the very first game, but she managed to break back and hold her service games. By the end of the first set, she had been playing a very good tennis, aggresive most of the times, defensive when needed. She started the second set pretty weirdly getting broken, but she regrouped once again, and finished the match in two sets. She is in good condition, but I guess her mental toughness is lacking at times.
We had some eye contacts during her warm-up with Poutchek, which was lovely.  |

One more thing - when she was one , she was hitting amaze winners, which some players even in TOP 10 wouldn't be able to.  |

That's what Marta does all the time Her results depend on percentage of good play and bad play over the match. When it's close to 50-50 it starts getting scary
