its unbeliveble that magda has this kind of bad luck all around the europe..in first Pironkova,in second Savchuk then she couldn't get threw quali as lucky looser in grand canaria..now Flipkens..but I think that in tenis you have after this close loosing with good players close wins and after...easy wins..I belive in Magda..She is special..

Fed Cup: Andrew's round-up
=======
FED CUP http://www.fedcup.com/
=======
Filipo's Europe/Africa Zone photos (Magdaléna and others):
http://www.fedcup1.hit.bg/ (Monday)
---------------------------------------
Europe/Africa Zone Group I: Round robin (TC Lokomotiv, Plovdiv, Bulgaria; red clay)
---------------------------------------
Pool A:
1. Slovak Republic (won 3 ties, lost 0)
2. Netherlands (won 2, lost 1)
3. Luxembourg (won 1, lost 2)
4. Finland (won 0, lost 3)
SLOVAK REPUBLIC d. LUXEMBOURG, 3:0 (Monday 17th April)
+ Magdaléna Rybáriková d. Mandy Minella, 6-3 6-3
+ Daniela Hantuchová d. Anne Kremer, 6-3 6-3
+ Hantuchová/Janette Husárová d. Minella/Claudine Schaul, 6-2 6-4
SLOVAK REPUBLIC d. NETHERLANDS, 2:1 (Tuesday 18th April)
+ Magdaléna Rybáriková d. Elise Tamaela, 6-3 6-2
+ Daniela Hantuchová d. Michaëlla Krajicek, 4-6 7-6 (7/5) 6-2
- Dominika Cibulková/Janette Husárová lt. Marrit Boonstra/Brenda Schultz-McCarthy, 6-1 0-6 4-6
SLOVAK REPUBLIC d. FINLAND, 3:0 (Wednesday 19th April)
+ Dominika Cibulková d. Katarina Tuohimaa, 6-2 6-1
+ Magdaléna Rybáriková d. Piia Suomalainen, 6-0 6-0
+ Cibulková/Rybáriková d. Suomalainen/Tuohimaa, 6-3 6-2
Slovakia had a great team this week, with Queen Daniela and her two lovely handmaidens (the beautiful Domi and the gorgeous Magda), and they won all their singles-rubbers!
Daniela (after beating Krajicek): "There were really hard conditions, very slow and slippery clay. I think I had match under control, especially in third set. Why do they change tennis-balls after 9-11 games and not after 7th or 9th game? I feel sometimes that I hit the hard balls like a medicine ball, and I can't hit the ball on the other side of the court after 10th game."
----------------------------------------------
Europe/Africa Zone Group I: Promotion play-off
----------------------------------------------
SLOVAK REPUBLIC d. GREAT BRITAIN, 2:1 (Saturday 22nd April)
+ Magdaléna Rybáriková d. Elena Baltacha, 7-5 6-3
+ Daniela Hantuchová d. Anne Keothavong, 6-2 6-1
- Dominika Cibulková/Janette Husárová lt. Baltacha/Claire Curran, 4-6 3-6
I may be British, but I was delighted to see that Slovakia won this tie, with victories for Dani and Magda!
I only wish the BBC had had the decency to televise this mouthwatering tie. They televise every Davis Cup tie involving GB, but they wasted both their Freeview interactive channels on snooker!
Slovakia face a play-off in July (draw to be made on 25th April) to go into World Group II for 2007.
GB remain in Europe/Africa Zone Group I.
