This week's big event, a Tier I, is the Ladies Kremlin Cup in Moscow. This tournament in Bangkok hosts a Tier III tournament and still has some interesting players as Petrova, Vaidisova, Asagoe and Martinez. We start with the qualifying tournament though, which features players as Czink, Obata, Harkleroad and Pin.
Please also vote for the events still underway (ITF Barcelona, Troy & Juarez) and for the qualifying event in Moscow.

Predicted Qualifiers:

In the top half two seeds won and two seeds lost. It was surprising Saori Obata only was able to win three games in her match against Carly Gullickson. Edina Gallovits gave it more of a fight against Tzipora Obziler, but had to succumb after losing the first set tie-break anyway. Melinda Czink had to fight over three sets as well, but eventually survived in her match against Chia-Jung Chuang. Shenay Perry was the only seed who came through easily. This half also featured a win for two thai wildcards Pichittra Thongdach and Wilawan Choptang, so the home crowd really had something to cheer for.
In the bottom half favourite Camille Pin surprisingly fell at the hands of Vilmarie Castellvi in three hard fought sets. The other seeds, including Stéphanie Foretz, Martina Müller and Ashley Harkleroad, all survived. Foretz had trouble with Thai Thassha Vittayaviroj, but came through in three sets. Müller also needed three sets against another Thai player, Montinee Tangphong. There was not so much to cheer about for the Thai crowd in this half as the third local favourite lost in Nudnida Luangnam.
