Re: Suzanne Lenglen Career Results
1925 is now complete. I have all of her career results in tournament play listed.
Next up will be adding as many of her pro encounters as I can find and tallying stats to compile a full review of her career.

Re: Suzanne Lenglen Career Results
Some of the most evocative and beautiful images of tennis come from the camera of the famous photographer Lartigue.
The exuberance of a young Suzanne literally leaps out as us still, although the images are 100 years ago. Note the shadow on the court surface.

Suzanne in training-1915.
Lartigue confers that Papa Lenglen laid out targeted areas of the court for his young phenom to hit into. She was not allowed to rest until she met her quota.
The training during the war no doubt gave her a real advantage when the conflict ended in 1918.

Just wondering where these results were sourced from? They are not in Alan Little's biography but on page 205 there is a record of Lenglen's activity at the Nice LTC Members Only Tournament.

Hi, Andrew,
I got those results from an edition of "The Field" from late January or early February 1924. As you might know, Wallis Myers was lawn tennis correspondent for "The Field" from about 1909 until his death, and spent a lot of time on the Riviera, even partnering Suzanne Lenglen once or twice in mixed doubles, so I'd say the results in question are reliable.

Re: Suzanne Lenglen Career Results
Just a note on the Nice Lawn Tennis Club Members' Championship. This was open to both French and overseas players as long as they were members of the club in question. And I don't doubt that some of the top overseas were members of this club.

Re: Suzanne Lenglen Career Results
Thanks to Arthur Wallis Myers, it's possible to dig up a few more results from the Nice Club Championships. Here are some results from the 1921 edition, printed in "The Field" of 1921:
19 January-5 February, Nice Lawn Tennis Club Championships, Nice, France (Clay)
FI: Suzanne Lenglen d. M. Septier 6-0, 6-1
--
XDF: Count Mikhail Soumarokoff-Elston (RUS)/Alain Gerbault/M. Septier 6-0, 6-1

Re: Suzanne Lenglen Career Results
The following information comes from "The Field" of 1 February 1923. That year's edition of the Nice Club Championships had finished a few days earlier:
21-27 January, Nice Lawn Tennis Club Championships, Nice, France (Clay)
FI: Suzanne Lenglen d. M. Tripp (GBR) [score?]
--
XDF: Alain Gerbault/Suzanne Lenglen d. Eliot Crawshay-Williams (GBR)/Weeta Donaldson (GBR) 6-1, 8-6

Re: Suzanne Lenglen Career Results
This extract is from an article which appeared in "The Field" of 22 January 1925:
"The seven new 'En-Tout-Cas' courts which comprise the Bristol Club at Beaulieu were opened officially last weekend [17 January], when the Duke of Connaught and a large company were present. The inaugural mathces included a double in which the brothers Burke opposed Rendall and Negro, and a 'mixed' match with Mlle Lenglen adopting the role of a male competitor..."
Mixed match: Charles Aeschlimann (SUI)/Suzanne Lenglen d. Lord Cholmondeley (GBR)/Henry G. Mayes (GBR) 6-2, 6-1, [5-7]*
* After easily winning the first two sets, the Swiss-French pair then lost a 'vantage set. No more sets were played.
