Is it 'Na Li' or 'Li Na'?!

There seems to be such a split view on this! I keep on seeing the two used and i don't know which is which, so.... a poll will help decide

You would call her Li Na in person, never Na Li. However, Li IS the "family name", but comes first. Once again: It's Na Li for the draws and stuff, but you would call her Li Na.

I believe the longest word in Chinese is six letters. Most things, like apples and computers, use more than one word.

As much as I respect the chinese culture of the surname first, it just sounds better when you anounce the birthname first like we all are used to.

I guess the Chinese girls are probably used to it by now.

it could be different, in Asian countries (well me being Vietnamese this is what we do) we say the last name first then the surname.. so I'd be: Nguyen Maria.
In North America and Europe they use the first name, then the last name: Maria Nguyen.

So I guess it could be right either way, depending on which country background you are using it in... that's my 2 cents

Nowhere near all. More like most.

Generalizing statements are just stupid.

But when you say it backwards it can really change what the name means. Na Li is like "Where?!" in Chinese.
