I missed Casey's match against Lindsay. Could someone give me a report about Casey's form and whether she can crack the top 150.
I heard from a radio report that Casey still looks out of shape. Is this still the case, or is she looking better than early 2005.

Basically Casey was really nervous in the 1st few games of the match. She still got most of the games in the 1st set 2 go 2 deuce & she hit a f/h winner on the very 1st point of the match. Casey was actually leading the winners tally up until the end of the match. Lindsay's pace was a bit more than Casey was used to, so she made a few more errors than normal. Lindsay said in her media conference at the end of the match that she was happy to play someone in the 1st round who could play at a good level.
She only started working on her fitness big time mid last year though - so Rome wasn't built in a day! She looks heaps better than this time last year & is moving much better. She's still working on it though. When I 1st saw her at Nuri, I thought "my god, is this the same girl?!", she's really worked hard & it shows.
Can she crack the top 150? Definitely! Tanasugarn commented after losing 6-4,6-0 to Casey at Nuri, that she reckons Casey'll be top 50 by the end of this year. I may be biased, but I'd say there's no doubt (injuries aside) that she'll be top 100 by the end of the year. Provided she doesn't draw too many Davenport's 1st round, I'd say she's on track to crack the top 150 within her next few hardcourt tournaments. Once her fitness is where she wants it to be & once she has a bit more experience, who knows how high she'll go?!
I think clay may not be such a good story for the next couple of years though, so look for big rankings surges on the hardcourts & grass.
Prediction: I see an exciting Wimbledon coming up for Casey!!!
Hope this answers the questions Lou Lou (did I ramble long enough or what!! )

Looks like she's chosen to play overseas. Not entered the $25k in Sydney next month.

Keep ramblng, it was what I was after. Thanks for that
Thats good to hear, the radio report was quite negative about her weight. Typical uneducated reporter.
I was annoyed I missed the match, but pleased that Lindsay had a nice thing to say. Having watched the likes of Pin, Sromova play in the AO, Im confident from what Ive heard that Casey can get to their level in the top 100.

We'll be able to keep a track of things from this. The only thing is, it's including bonus points which have dropped off. Gives us an idea though.
Only points to worry about are the Japanese one's Ozfan referred to for May.

Casey has taken a wildcard onto next week's sydney itf 25k!
hope she can do well and build her confidence and ranking up some more before she heads over to las vegas in a few weeks time!
not sure if she will play gosford or not yet
might depend how much spending money she wants for the vegas casino's lol
Good Luck Casey, hopefully she can get to play Gajdosova, that would be an interesting match-up!

Bad Casey!! Taking a wc off another Aussie due to being disorganised!
Oh well, at least we have a chance at an Aussie winning Sydney now.

She wasnt disorganised!
Originally just didnt see the point in entering as she would have no competition but now has seen likes of Jarmilla are playing and wants some extra practice before us!
