Arrow “If You Should Ever Be Lonely”: Reina, Real McCoy or Val Young?

Recently, Val Young’s 1985 club hit “If You Should Ever Be Lonely” has resurfaced on dance music radio station playlists across the USA. Upon doing an online search, I discovered that Val’s song was remade twice. Do any of you know the song or its remakes? What do you think?

Reina , 2004 (listen to snippet)

Real McCoy, 2000 (listen to snippet)

Val Young, 1985 (listen to snippet)

Original Val Young version from 1985 without doubt...fantastic groove.
I think the REAL MCCOY version is a good attempt though.
Hate the most recent recording by REINA...ugh...seemed to have killed off the essence of the song.

Even Mariah Carey jumped on the bandwagon, in a way. Here's the "If You Should Ever Be Lonely" remix of Heartbreaker":
