Why does it take less time for female player to reach the top?

You have players like hingis, sharapova, williams sisters, that reach the top very early in their careers, howeve it takes longer time for male players to make it. why do u think this happens?

females mature more quickly

easier for juniors to come through than males maybe?

nadal, monfils, marat, chang, agassi, pete.

they were all very young when they had amazing results.
i think in womens tennis the media likes the "young-athlete-to-conquer-the-world-and-make-a-book-out-of-it" story.
it's like "OMG LOOK! SHE'S 2 YEARS OLD AND HAS A TOY RAQUET! LET'S MAKE THIS AN ENORMOUS STORY!!!!!"
other than that, in women's tennis the new training methods are really improving. it's like a whole new boost of play in the last 5 years, but within 10 years it'll probably calm down much more.

Generally, male's mature more slowly, so most 15 or 16 year old males are not nearly as strong in the upper body as guys in their early 20s.

Women players at 16 or 17 can easily be as strong as women in their early 20s, witness a woman player named Maria Sharapova.

But of course, there is also the cute factor. Who wants to look at a pimply faced 16 year old boy when one can look at Maria Sharapova.

The level of men's game is higher even considering the physical difference.

Its nothing to do with looks. If there was a 16 or 17 year old boy doing well on the ATP they would be getting hyped a lot, like Nadal and Gasquet. Theres just not very many that are doing well, because of the lack of strength factor.

Female body is "stronger" like 2 years before boys and you don't need to got a 300km/h and an "Andy Roddyck forehand"

Another point is that fewer Girl's Champions become adult GS champs than Boys champions. Why is this?
