She will be in Eastbourne won't she? I'll be there for 2 days. But for her sake I think she should be playing maybe an ITF or something, cos she hardly stands a chance at a strong-fielded tier II (does that make sense?). Unless she pulls a Dushevina. Oh well good luck Eva!!

When Eva won that 75k at the very beginning of the year I thought she would play better tennis again after being a journeywomen the whole 2005
but she did nothing after Ortisei
this result is far more than just disappointing
Eva ..... ......

New Entry on www.evabirnerova.com
Hello everyone,
After my first appearance at Eastbourne where I played a really good first round (6:1 7:5 vs Nakamura) I had some problems with my knee during my second match and made my way to Wimbledon earlier than expected.
Now we are getting ready for my first direct main draw start in singles and doubles - actually we (Yulia Beygelzimer and me) were very lucky with the doubles because we were one position out of main draw until yesterday ] In singles I will play the 28th seed, Sofia Arvidsson and in doubles the 9th seeded Kveta Peschke and Francesca Schiavone. For the first time I will also try to enter the mixed doubles with Lukas Dlouhy on Wednesday. So fingers crossed for me...
So I hope you will follow my matches on

yours Eva
Another great entry, she speaks every nice english with a nice word choice

New images: Beside the tour - Family and friends

(sister Hana)

I can see where Eva gets her looks from, she and Hana look so much like her parents I love how Eva's site is so personal, it gives a good insight into her life and she seems keen to update it

Thanks for pointing this out, a nice entry! I got to see Eva's singles matches at Wim this year, and thought she played very well. She was a bit unlucky against Zheng, especially as she had set points in the first set tie break, the second one of which Zheng saved with a lucky shot that hit the net and just dropped over the other side. Also, instead of apologising for this, Zheng celebrated with a clenched fist, which you could see annoyed Eva! Anyway, here's a few pics I took...
From 1st round:-
From 2nd round:-
Here's also a little vid of Eva's match point and handshake v Arvidsson:-
