Zwei Sätze im Tie-Break gegen Andrea Petkovic



Kristina Baarois vom TC Bous hat den Sparkassen-Renchtalcup beim TC Oberkirch gewonnen. Die Saarländerin bezwang im Endspiel Andrea Petkovic mit 7:6, 7:6.

Zum siebten Mal wurde beim TC Oberkirch der Sparkassen-Renchtalcup für Damen als deutsches Ranglistenturnier ausgespielt. Was als kleines auf die nähere Umgebung beschränkte Turnier vor zwölf Jahren begann, hat sich zu dem mit dem höchsten Preisgeld dotierten Ranglisten-Turnier für Damen in Deutschland entwickelt. Vom 17. bis 21. August wird auf der Anlage des TC Oberkirch um ein Gesamtpreisgeld von 6.500 € gespielt. Seit diesem Jahr gehört auch der Sparkassen-Renchtalcup zu der renommierten Turnierserie: "German Masters Series" und ist dort eingestuft in die höchste Kategorie A.

es scheint dass KRISTINA ihre form wiedergefunden hat! nach einem 25k-finale in sofia letzte woche, erreichte sie heute das viertelfinale beim 25k in glasgow - wie übrigens insgesamt vier deutsche damen!

KRISTINA gewann heute ihr erstes 25k-turnier in glasgow - ihr sechster itf-titel in diesem jahr! da bedeutet ein neues career-high-ranking!

Tennis - Tennis: Barrois rückt weiter vor
Kristina Barrois vom TC Bous hat sich nach dem Sieg des Challenger Turniers in Glasgow in der Weltrangliste erheblich verbessert.

Nach der Punktvergabe wird sie auf einen Platz um Position 250 vorrücken. Damit steigen auch ihre Chancen, an der Qualifikation für das Grand-Slam-Turnier in Melbourne 2006 teilzunehmen.

Außerdem rückt ihre Möglichkeit näher, in den Kader des deutschen Fed-Cup-Teams berufen zu werden. Ihr Trainer Partick Schmidt sagte dem SR, erste Gespräche habe es mit Teamchefin Barbara Rittner bereits gegeben.

La série de Barrois


Non classée à la WTA en début de saison, l'Allemande Kristina Barrois a remporté le 3e Open Gaz de France Nantes Atlantique, son septième titre en 2005 !


A PLEIN TEMPS. Chaque chose en son temps. Telle pourrait être la devise de Kristina Barrois. Avant de se lancer chez les "pros", l'Allemande avait choisi de privilégier ses études et son entrée dans la vie active. Cette année, encouragée par une victoire au "10 000 dollars" de Bielefeld en août 2004, Barrois a choisi de tenter sa chance à plein temps. Avec bonheur.

ET DE SEPT ! Agée de 24 ans depuis le 31 septembre, l'Allemande s'est offert un joli cadeau d'anniversaire. Sur les courts couverts de Vertou Tennisud, le centre de ligue des Pays de Loire, cette joueuse au tennis puissant a remporté son septième titre de la saison. Finaliste au "25 000 dollars" de Sofia quinze jours plus tôt, puis gagnante de celui de Glasgow la semaine précédente, Barrois pointait au 245e rang mondial en arrivant à Nantes. Une progression qui ne devrait pas s'arrêter là.

PICHET EN QUARTS. En finale, elle a battu 6/4, 6/2 l'Italienne Alberta Brianti, qui s'était offert la tête de série n°1 en quarts, la Canadienne Marie-Eve Pelletier (7/5, 6/3). Après avoir dominé d'entrée la régionale de l'étape Mailyne Andrieux (6/2, 6/3), Barrois avait mis fin aux espoirs français en quarts. Meilleure Bleue à Nantes, Virginie Pichet, tête de série n°2, s'est inclinée 6/2, 7/5 contre la future gagnante.

NIVEAU ET AFFLUENCE EN HAUSSE. Présidente du comité de Loire-Atlantique et directrice du tournoi, Huguette Kermarrec s'est félicitée "du niveau de jeu supérieur aux années précédentes. D'ailleurs l'affluence était en hausse par rapport à la dernière édition. Du vendredi au dimanche, plus de 2000 personnes sont venues". Une belle réussite qui trouve notamment ses racines dans l'implication de la quarantaine de bénévoles du comité 44.

Kristina lost 2-6 3-6 against Gojnea

Obviously she won't play in the upcoming weeks, at least not on the ITF tour. But I hope she plays some more events in November.
