well... not a good match to end the season

I'm disappointed , as would every Kata- and Kveta - fans be

bring on 2012 with hopefully another Slam and maybe finally a YEC win ...
if, only Team Sucketta could have finished the job yesterday, I think the title woud have been 'ours'
oh well..well done to Team USA for being as Lisa said, the more aggressive team today (no doubt about that

)
apart from 3 good games in the middle of the second set, I think basically, Kata and Kveta kinda sucked today...

Tough match that unfortunately did not go Kata&Kveta's way.

Kata & Kveta had an amazing season, though!

They were rolling along quite happily until Kata got hit in the chest from point blank range. So yes, the more aggressive team won... Still, with a bit of luck on the deciding (40-40) points, things could have ended different.

Financially, Kata made almost as much as in her (singles!) top year of 2008: $907,145 then vs. $842,365 now.

Cool, indeed!

She's no. 21. on the WTA prize money list. That shows that you can earn very good money even as a doubles specialist. I just wish that a wider audience would realise how wonderful doubles tennis is.

She will start her preparations for 2012 with some condition training in Dubai and then go to Swizerland to train with Kveta. She mentions that Kveta's husband is their coach. I have wondered about this for some time, because it's always been him coming on court during their matches and no other coach.

So, Kata will continue playing with Kveta.

They will start their season in Auckland. And she'll play mixed with Zimonjic also in 2012.

Kata would like to play both doubles and mixed in the Olympics. It is not clear yet who she will partner up with, though.

She will not play Fed Cup as she doesn't want to go to Japan, stating the risks in consequence of the awful earthquake in March as her reason. This has caused quite a roar among the commentators on the RTV SLO -site...

Srebotnik back to her old tricks when it comes to FED Cup.

What a ludicrous excuse. I wonder what her doubles partners Ai and Shinobu would have to say about that, considering that they live in that ghastly Japan!

I really wish she would just quit playing in FED cup altogether and not play just when her snooty ass decides so.
