.

She has really been unlucky with her draws. Particularly at Grand Slams.

Re: Aiko Nakamura Thread.

Wozniak def Nakamura 6/3 6/2
Aiko was leading 2/1 and serve for a 3/1 lead in the second set ...
...but she lose five consecutive games !

She didn't win a match since Birmingham !!!
But in doubles she will play the second round with Klepac
Against Petrova and Kirilenko !
Good Luck Aiko !!

Re: Aiko Nakamura Thread.

I saw her knee bandaged in past tourneys and was hoping it wasn't serious.

I'm praying it won't turn out like Akiko Morigami's knee. So many players from Asia have had issues with their knees.

Re: Aiko Nakamura Thread.

UsOpen 2008 :
After Ivanovic, Henin, Kuznetsova and Zvonareva :
Bammer !
It's better, but very difficult
She isn't in good form and she meets good players
Bammer def Nakamura 6/1 6/3 in Doha ...
I really hope Aiko can practice a good tennis
It's a difficult match but in tennis you have never lose before the end of the match point
So Go Go Go Aiko !!!!!

Good luck Aiko

Bammer did well in the Olympics lately so it is still very tough.

Re: Aiko Nakamura Thread.

I watched the match on TV (I had a choice of matches) and to be honest, it was soon clear why she is getting such poor results, her game just didn't work and looked awkward. I don't think it would be a bad idea to have a go at the Japanese 25ks like Hsieh is doing, but Aiko isn't, probably preferring the WTA events.

Re: Aiko Nakamura Thread.

Hi Sugi,
Yeah, I saw the match on "Sky", and her game is'nt really matching up.
As you say I think she'd be better playing some smaller events and getting her confidence back otherwise her game could go into freefall!

Re: Aiko Nakamura Thread.

Oh,
Two lucky guys who saw the match !
I saw on the statistics that she hits more winners
But a lot of unforced errors too
I don't think she wants to play smaller events because she is Wildcard
On both Tokyo draw ( tierI and tierIII )
I hope she will win some matches before the end of the season ! ...

There is a 50 000$ ITF event in my town on 27th October !
But I don't think she wants to play ITF ( and in France ! ...)

I don't find any pictures of her match
Can you tell me what she was wearing ...and if you have any pictures please show me !

Thanks for yours "reports"

Re: Aiko Nakamura Thread.

Aiko's confidence must be shot right now...

Playing some ITFs would be perfect at this stage, but I doubt we'll see that happening for a while since she'll be playing the WTA events in Japan. I think it's likely that she may play some of the bigger ITF events in Asia after the Japan Open...
