Re: Aiko Nakamura Thread.

Aiko is playing in Gold Coast to start the new year off! here is here part of the draw.

Nicole Vaidisova[1] vs. Casey Dellacqua[WC]
Aiko Nakamura vs. Tatjana Malek
Monique Adamczak[WC] vs. Elena Vesnina
Na Li vs. Sybille Bammer[7]

A very winnable first round and then probably Vaidisova. Good luck Aiko!

Re: Aiko Nakamura Thread.

Aiko seems to be playing reasonably well, she just won the All Japanese Championships after sucking on the WTA tour last autumn.

Re: Aiko Nakamura Thread.

Haven't posted here for some time so time for an update - Aiko has been pretty poor on the tour lately and won her first WTA match from like forever today in Dubai quallies against Garbin. Good win for Aiko.

She plays Galina Voskoboeva next. I expect her to lose but you never know.

Re: Aiko Nakamura Thread.

Yes, both Aiko and Akiko have been giving the seeded players trouble as of late, which is a good sign. Hopefully one of these tournaments they will give them a little more than trouble...
