I always went for tighter strings, for control. 66-70.

I want to ask : What is the difference between hitting a ball with loose & tight string?

60 lbs on a midplus, 95 sq. inches.

Post your racquet head size too, it makes a huge difference with the tensions you are posting. OS racquets need strung tighter to equal the same effect frm a midplus.

65lbs, 93 sq. inches. My volleys suffer from a lack of punch but perfect for groundstrokes & I play from the back so....

65 pounds is very tight for a racquet that size. How long have those strings been in your racquet? I recommend any player 4.0+ cut their strings out after 15 hours of play if they have not broken. Strings lose their tension and they do nto gain it back once it is lost. My strings break in about 4 hours of practice or 5 hours of match play. But if you leave your racquet in the trunk of the car you better believe you will be losing several pounds of tension. Even a hot day on the court will take it's toll.

What racquet are you using? Is it flexible?

Re: String Tension: Are you loose or tight?

before I always string the tension at the middle of the racquet's recommended tension, does the racquet break easier or anything bad if you string it the max/min of the recommend tension? does anyone go over the min/max? and by how many kg/lbs can you feel the difference?

pure Gut at 50lbs. 95sqin PSLtd. Thinking of even going lower. Just easier for my arms with looser strings.
