thanks Hot 92 Jamz for the nominees. Unfortunately I'm rarely able to catch the Soul Train Awards, because I never know when they air. I guess I will go to the official site and try to see if they have a schedule.

Harloo, isn't it sad that this is the 19th annual and we STILL have to "check our local listings"?

Exactly! LOL!! I missed last years show, and paid someone to send me a copy. It's a shame, but like all black award shows you have to check your local times because you don't know when they will air.
Soul Train use to air every Saturday morning, but nowadays you have to wonder when or what channel it's coming on. I do appauld Don Cornelius for keeping the show running for this long though.

Applaud Don Cornelius but do NOT give the brotha a standing "o"! With all his clout and money, you'd think that he could've cut a network deal (tears ago) with at least UPN to show the award show annually. They just settle for syndication which sucks because that means, for example, L.A. will see it at 9, Atlanta will get it at 11:30 and Cincinnati will get it at 3AM....but all on different days and affliates. It's a shame!

I forgot to say that at least The Image Awards and Essence Awards have a steady PRIMETIME annual gig with Fox. That's why I don't understand what Don Cornelius's problem is with cutting a network deal.
