ROLAND GARROS: Clarisa vuelve a Paris

La cordobesa Clarisa Fernández superó la clasificación y disputará el torneo que la hizo conocida: llegó a semifinales en el 02. La zurda superó a la finlandesa Emma Laine por 6-7 (4-7), 7-6 (8-6) y 6-1, y se convirtió en la úndecima argentina en París. Su rival se sorteará hoy. En tanto, Juan Pablo Brzezicki perdió con el finlandés más conocido, Jarkko Nieminen, por 6-4, 3-6 y 6-1. También quedó eliminado Matías Boeker, argentino que representa a Estados Unidos. En tanto, Franco Squillari, semifinalista en el 2000, buscará el ingreso al cuadro cuando enfrente al italiano (también nacido en nuestro país) Tomás Tenconi.

"Disfruto partido a partido"


Clarisa Fernández, semifinalista en el 2002, olvidó las lesiones en sus rodillas. Está en 2 ronda.

"Fue muy difícil para mí. Sufrí mucho en ese tiempo. Date una idea: no sabían lo que tenía, no sabían cómo curarme... Eso fue en el 2003. Tenía la rodilla derecha a la miseria. No me acuerdo cuántos médicos consulté. Ninguno daba en la tecla. Lo peor es que seguí jugando igual, así como estaba, algo que obviamente no debería haber hecho. Y jugaba mal, con mala actitud... Las cosas no me salían y la rodilla me dolía cada vez más. Al final me operé en el Abierto de Australia del 2004, lo hizo un australiano. Y después de un largo proceso de recuperación, cuando por fin pude regresar, me lesioné la otra rodilla. Sí, fue una época difícil. A veces me decía a mi misma: ¿cómo hago para volver a jugar? Pero nunca pensé en dejar... Y ahora disfruto de esta alegría".

Clarisa Fernández luce una sonrisa más grande que el court Suzanne Lenglen. Y, además de quedarle bien, se la merece. "Sí, el sentimiento que predomina es el de felicidad... No diría revancha, aunque a veces una tiene muchas broncas acumuladas, je". Le sobran las ganas de hablar, de contar, de agradecer, ahora que volvió a ganar en su amado París (6-3 y 6-2 a la rusa Tatiana Panova). Ella misma relató el sufrimiento. Las dos rodillas jaquearon su carrera, justo cuando venía de un inolvidable Roland Garros 2002, en el que fue semifinalista y asombró a todos. Se tuvo que operar ambas, desapareció de los rankings y debió pelearla desde bien abajo. "Traté de no bajonearme. Tardé ocho meses en cumplir la rehabilitación tras la primera operación. Y cuando volví, me lesioné la rodilla izquierda, en la qualy de Roland Garros 2004. Fue terrible. Por supuesto, me prometí regresar. ¿Por qué? Porque quería, porque me debía algo. Vuelta a empezar con la rehabilitación... Para ocupar la cabeza en otras cosas leía de todo, je. Se me hizo un hábito. Sobre todo me gustaban los libros de psicología y religión. Me hubiera gustado estudiar Psicología, por ejemplo, pero con el tenis se hace imposible. Ni la secundaria pude terminar". Dice que hubo amigos y profesionales que la ayudaron mucho. Había que tenerle paciencia, porque a veces el dolor podía más. "Por ahí tenía planeada una rutina de entrenamiento y ese día me dolían las rodillas. Y chau. Todavía hoy me molestan un poco, pero me dijeron que es normal".

Ayer, evidentemente, estaban bastante bien. En menos de una hora, la chica de 23 años se sacó de encima el debut, con un saque potente (seis aces) y juego sólido desde el fondo. Ahora tiene una rival accesible en segunda ronda: la local Virginie Razzano. "No me quiero poner metas, disfruto partido a partido. Jugar en Roland Garros siempre es un placer, aunque estoy algo cansada por la acumulación de partidos".

Este es su segundo torneo WTA del año —llegó a semifinales de Bogotá en febrero— en el que se la pasó jugando challengers. "Durante el parate trabajé bastante en las cuestiones técnicas", afirma la 214ø del mundo. Y termina la frase, otra vez, con una sonrisa. Claro. Para qué seguir hablando de aquellos días "en que no me podía levantar de la cama, por el dolor que sentía", si ya ganó, París está de primavera y lo mejor, seguro, está por venir.
