Re: Game organizers: Introduce your game!

Instructions:

1. Pick a player that is ranked within the top 200, or a famous player from the past.
2. Pick a surface order (Rebound Ace, Clay, Grass, Hard, Indoors)
3. On your first surface you will get 250 points, Second: 245 Third: 240 Fourth: 235 Last: 225
4. For each tournament you must divide your points into FIVE sets.
5. Example using 240 points:

Set 1: 60
Set 2: 40
Set 3: 70
Set 4: 35
Set 5: 35

6. For each set whoever has more points will win that set.
7. You may add points to your surface if you win the Grand Slam on that Surface. You will gain 5 on that surface until after the same Grand Slam the next season.
8. Doubles Teams will be singles points added together. That way, it is easy for me to use points without a deadline.
9. Set Differentials:

6-0 ( > 50)
6-1 (50 – 36)
6-2 (35 – 21)
6-3 (20 – 16)
6-4 (15 – 11)
7-5 (10 – 6)
7-6:

7-1 (5)
7-2 (4)
7-3 (3)
7-4 (2)
7-5,8-6,9-7 (1)
10-8 (CT)

A tie will result in a coin toss.

10. Schedule of Tournaments (Fed Cup is preferred to play by country, however if that is impossible it may be played by region i.e. Team Latin America or by some other similarity between all players.):

Australian Open (GS)

Ladies Professional Tour-
Rules and Signup Thread

Welcome to the Ladies Professional Tour

1. First you can choose up to 3 tennis players currently or previously playing on the WTA tour. However 1 player must be outside the TOP 50.

2. Next, you have to choose each of you player's surfaces, out of Hard, Clay, Rebound Ace and Grass.

3. The surfaces you choose will have the following points:

Favorite Surface: 215

2nd and 3rd Surfaces: 200

Least Favorite Surface: 185

How to Play LPT?

Each player will have to split their surface points in to 3 tie-break sets.

Scoring System:
Difference in Points:
11-20: 7-5
21-30: 6-4
31-40: 6-3
41-50: 6-2
51-60: 6-1
61+ : 6-0

Tiebreak
Difference in Points:
1 :7-6
2 :7-5
3 :7-4
4 :7-3
5 :7-2
6 :7-1
7-10:7-0
If points in a set are the same, there will be a coin toss to see who wins.

For example,

CLAY:
Venus Williams: (This is Venus least Favorite Surface)
Set 1: 100
Set 2: 85
Set 3: 100

Kim Clijsters: (this is Kim's 2nd favorite surface)
Set 1: 115
Set 2: 70
Set 3: 115

Result:
Set 1: Kim 7-5 (15 point difference)
Set 2: Venus 7-5 (15 point difference)
Set 3: Kim 7-5 (15 point difference)

Kim Clijsters def. Venus Williams 7-5, 5-7, 7-5

Other Rules/Advantages:
Writing Articles/Reports:
In a tournament, a player can volunteer to write a article about the tournament or their results. The volunteered player must post at least 2 reports throughout the tournament. The player will get 10 extra points to use in the next tournament.
Points:
Points must be changed at the least every 3 tournaments, but it is recommended that you send a different set of points each tournament.
Schedule:
The tour will follow the WTA schedule and you can play as much of them as you wish. Commitment threads will be posted, so you can enter tournaments you want to play in. The surface and tier of tournaments will not be changed. However, there maybe some fantasy tournaments that will be made up. These will be called 'LPT Tournaments'
Rankings:
Rankings will be updated each week, and the points distributed will be the same as the ones by the WTA tour, the system will be the same, with points dropping of the next year.

Re: Game organizers: Introduce your game!

Hello and welcome to the Amazing Race Tour. A new concept by your managers no-hay-igual and Serena_4ever. This game requires you to choose 3 players ranked either inside the top 200, top 50 junior players, a recently retired player or a doubles specialist. Your players will then take part in a race around the World to complete the ultimate goal of winning multiple grand slams and becoming the world's best player!!

Tournaments will be consisted of a 24 tournament calendar, split up into three seasons consisting of 8 weeks each, like this:

Calendar
Season 1
(EXIBITIONS- Hopman Cup and Hong Kong Asian Games)
Auckland - G3 / Sydney - G3
Melbourne - G1
Dubai - G2 / Stochkolm - G4
Doha - G3 / Minsk - G4
Kuala Lumpur - G3 / Acapulco - G3
Indian Wells - G2
Miami - G2
Charleston - G3 / Johannesburg - G4

Season 2
Stuttgart - G3 / Cairo - G4
Rome - G2 / Makaraska - G4
Madrid - G2
Paris - G1
Birmingham - G3 / Nottingham - G4
London - G1
Copenhagen - G3 / Budapest - G3
San Diego - G3 / Bratislava - G4
Cincinnati - G2 / Vancouver - G4

Season 3
Toronto - G2 / Campos Do Jordao - G4
New York City - G1
Seoul - G3 / Athens - G4
Tokyo - G2 / Helsinki - G4
Beijing - G2
Moscow - G3 / Torhout - G4
Istanbul - Special (1-8) / Bali - Special (Top 9-16)

When a sub forum is opened, you will commit for your first 8 tournamnets and every season you have 5000 dollars to spend. You split these dollars into your 8 weeks which you committed for e.g

Week 1- 1000 dollars
Week 2- 400 dollars
Week 3- 900 dollars
Week 4- 400 dollars
Week 5- 400 dollars
Week 6: 400 dollars
Week 7: 1000 dollars
Week 8- 500 dollars
NOTE- No more than 1000 points for a tournament and no less than 400 points

These dollars are then converted into points and you have to split these into three sets e.g

Week 1- 1000 dollars
500-400-200
NOTE- you can not put more than 500 points in a set.

For now, just commit your 3 players and when the sub forum is opened you can commit for everything else !! We also need 1-2 more managers who are willing to help out on certain things such as tournaments, entry lists and rankings. You can still play the game as we (no-hay-igual and Serena_4ever) will be playing the game also. If you have any disagreements with this then please let us know. We have several people willing for us to send points to.

Thanks guys !!

Re: Game organizers: Introduce your game!

New Rules
1. Every week you will have $1000 to spend.

2. You will have to commit to the event.

3. You may only play one tournament per week.

4. A draw will be made.

5. You will verse someone, and Say it is "Me" v "You" , i will pick two matches for you to bet on. Eg. The matches are Rezai v Stosur and Groth v V.Williams. "Me" put $500 on Stosur while "You" put $200 on Stosur. Then Stosur wins, therefore "Me" will move into the second round because he had the higher amount of money placed on the bet. Eg. if Rezai wins "You" would win with $300 in the next round. Say if your first match you both put $500 on. Then you will have a backup match which is the Groth v V.Williams. And you will do the same thing.

6. Repeat step 5 in the other rounds.

7. There will be no doubles.

8. Ranking points will be up for grabs if we get a sub-forum.

Re: Game organizers: Introduce your game!

All,

In this Tennis game you can choose 25 tennis players (men and women), who will earn points for you by progressing through the tournament.

The Australian Open Game will start on Monday the 17th of January 2011 at 1.00 hour CET.

The game will cost 5 euro per team and because we are always very careful with promising prizes for a new game, we start with a guaranteed amount of 500 euro. This full amount will go the to general classification with a first prize of 100 euro.

When the game is a great succes, the prizes will increase as always...

Have fun!!

Re: Game organizers: Introduce your game!

Polish Australian co-production (Beesley and Kev.) present you a new concept of game.

First of all,
Hello and welcome to the World Cup of Nations Tour sign up tread.

All you have to do is create a team, but not random team. This team has to represent your country, or another country you wish.

You are asking how create your team? Nothing easier.

1. First you pick a country. It could be Russia.
2. Then you have to choose representatives:
* First member will be leader of your team (e.g. Elena Dementieva)
* Second member will be just second player (e.g. Maria Sharapova)
* And of course you need to have a double pair (e.g. Nadia Petrova, Dinara Safina)

It would be nice if you choose a well-know player, but the Earth will be still spinning around the sun if your players stay unknown.

Of course, you can take every country, but sometimes you will need to create your own players e.g. you want to be captain of Kosovo Team.

How to win a match:

First important information. Your leader will receive 1000 points, your back up player 800, and your doubles 1000 points too.

The match will be play in FED Cup formula.

First game: your leader vs opponent's back up
Second game: your backup vs opponent's leader
Third game: doubles team
fourth game: your backup vs opponent's back up
Fifth game: your leader vs opponent's leader

All you have to do is split your points to 3 sets e.g. 100-500-400, 400-400-0 and 0-500-500.

*But: every three setter will cost you 30 points. 10 points for every set. It will be automatically remove by managers and punishment for fatigue will expire in next tournament. It's more simply as it look like.

It means, that If some player play 3 sets in one match, in next match she will have less points in every set.
e.g.
Dominika Cibulkova vs Agnes Szavay 2:1

She split her points in this way: 250-300-450.
In her next matches in this tournament she will have less points in each set : 240-290-440.

And so on.

You will win your match if you win at least 3 games.

e.g. Estonia vs Russia 3-0.

How the set is decided:

0 | 7-6 (8) (coin toss)
1-2 | 7-6 (7)
3-4 | 7-6 (6)
5-6 | 7-6 (5)
7-8 | 7-6 (4)
9-10 | 7-6 (3)
11-13 | 7-6 (2)
14-16 | 7-6 (1)
17-20 | 7-6 (0)
21-40 | 7-5
41-60 | 6-4
61-90 | 6-3
91-120 | 6-2
121-175| 6-1
176+ | 6-0

Tournaments calendar.

Week 1-2 Australian Open Slam
Week 2 Tier 5
Week 3 Tier 2
Week 4-5 Tier 1
Week 5 Tier 5

And so on. Important 1.!!! Every country which will participated in tour will receive tournaments.

e.g. You pick Kosovo - you will be authorized to choose city where you wanna play, e.g. Pristina Open.

Important 2. Ranking will be available after AO. Player from TOP10 will be forced to play in every TIER1. And they won't be able to play in TIER 4 and 5.

One important think about ranking:

Each place under the 1st will give team 10 points less.

e.g.

1. USA - 1000
2. Russia -990
3. Italy - 980
4. Japan - 970
5. Australia - 960
and so on...

More informations when we get subforum.

Teams that have confirmed their participation:

Denmark | -DessWozniacki- | Caroline Wozniacki, Karen Barbart, Malou Ejdesgaard, Mai Grage
Germany | Jose. | Andrea Petkovic, Julia Goerges, Angelique Kerber
Argentina | dulkogii | Gisela Dulko, Maria Emilia Salerni, Betina Jozami

Re: Game organizers: Introduce your game!

Pick three players as your representative in one tournament per week. Their scores (points they get) means your scores. Your score is then compared with other players. They will then get ranking points... More details will be given when I can start the game...
