Yep, the Russinas have a very strong work ethic. Its all about the tennis.
I just want Elena to shine instead of being a constant Bridesmaid (RG, USO, Miami and Moscow - all HUGE tournaments)
One thing I have been particularly impressed with is Elena's mental game, it seems as though she is getting stronger and stronger.
Each 3 set match she played since Justine, she has not lost more than 2 games in the final sets. She's beginning to hold it together better.

Elena reached all those finals. And lost first round at Wimbledon, the AO, and the Olympics.
The first match is vital for her.

Lets hope the first match is do-able. Not a Vaidisova or a Ivanovic.
Good luck to some of the other Russinas too. Although I want this AO to be competitive and not about injuries and poor Russian vs Russian matches.
Elena defeating Venus would be nice

Generally, it's a good draw for Russians IMO.

its not bad.
could have been alot worse.
Lina better qualify first then avoid playing Masha, Sveta, Vera in R1.
got a funny feeling she'll get one of them.

I think only Dinara got a tough draw.
We could have a Russian in each semi.
We could have the first Vera-Vera match in round 2.

Elena's draw is bad because she's paired up with Nastya. The rest of it is do-able.
The main thing is Elena gets to AO healthy and recuperated from this heat illness. get better soon girl

Nastya-Lena would be a QF. Lena would have to draw a top 4 seed in that round.
None of those matchups would be easy.

Day 1 is for the bottom half of the draw.
That means Sveta, Nadia, Maria, Maria, Vera, Vera, Dinara, Alina, and Zhenya.
I was reading the pre-tournament interviews - everyone is happy and friendly .
But on the court, you have to fight
