Although Jelena's struggled this year I thought she'd put up more of a fight especially after her first round win. Tax has also labored but perhaps she's finding her game.

An incredible match lasted 3,5 hours. Temperature in the court was over 40°.
Tathiana won tanks to her strong phisical and mental condition.

Tremendous fight by Tathiana.

I hope she has enough left for tomorrow. Would be great to see her make the final (hopefully versus Flavia) and perhaps grab the title.

easy win by TAX today...... first final in I do not even remeber how many years...she destroyed little Agnes 6-3 6-0!!!!

Tax is really surprising me, I thought her best days were over...good that she proved me totally wrong, now one last win, PLEASE, against THE WALL that ruined my day avoiding the all-italian final I so much wanted !!!!!! I actually expected a Fran vs Flavia final with Fran taking her first title, but Tax second title would just be perfect

I did not expect for Tax to have the energy to battle this young upstart after her grueling match yesterday but she proved me wrong.

Now beat Anna and take the title. (I hope the crowd will be Fed Cup like.)

poor tax
she had had a great week and unfortunately had to retire. It seems that there is nothing too grave but it's really a pity... Anyway, a new Tathiana was born.
