Paul McNamee: no Australian Open for Kim

In some Belgian newspapers today: Paul McNamee has once again said that Kim will not play the Australian Open.
No confirmation from the Clijsters camp yet.

Why does McNamee not let Kim do the talking about this one?

She never entered the tournament, so she has not withdrawn, so she may not think that she needs to make any statement about not playing (which would be stating the obvious) and I would tend to agree with her.

Anyway Bob Verbeeck already said that it was most likely she'd play her first event in Tokyo/Pattaya or Antwerp!

And just by thinking a little bit... how can she be well prepared to play if she hasn't begun to hit backhand with normal balls yet??? The Aussie Open begins in less than 2 weeks!

It's a good decision indeed

But it doesn't make it any easier for her fans...

Has it been confirmed by Kim herself?
