Its stupid to start a whole new forum just for one person (like the Kournikova fans did)
And someone on here started up a Bela-Russian cheering thread. Though nobody uses it anymore.

as long as she doesn't mind. It seems that people (especially new generation) from former Soviet republics have to get offended when they are somehow mixed with Russians. Just my opinion.

I don't mind cheering for some of them
especially ones from Belarus.
I also got a soft spot for Irina Selyutina/ Iroda Tulyaganova as well as a few others.
15 yr old Anna Chekvetadze is of Georgian origin and represents Russia.
It all depends on each person's view. But I can say is that Russians view of other states is more tolerant than they have of Russia.
