C'mon guys, Venus' forehand isn't bad at all, and anyone who can win four slams with "that" forehand and "that" second serve must be doing SOMETHING right  .

I think u can probably list 10-15 women whose serve was their biggest liability. I think in today's tennis u just can't get away with a puff serve- not for long anyway...

I was actually looking for a particular thread and stumbled across a few old ones. Sometimes it's fun to go back through the years. I joined this forum back in 04 and when I read some of things I wrote I don't even recognize them as me.
This is a great topic with not nearly enough good examples, thus the "ancient" bump...

People were right to question the FH and second serve of Venus back in 2004. She has made considerable improvements on both shots for someone who was considered a "stubborn player".
I think Dementieva and the serve is the most glaring one.
