Her wrist condition hasn't been good yet...so she withdrew the All Japan...

Hope she comes back next year strong.

Rika's injury seems to have healed.

Her schedule is as follows:

- $75K Dubai, UAE
- Gold Coast, AUS
- Sydney, AUS
- Australian Open

I'd be annoyed if she'd have made the MD for either Canberra or Hobart. If not, playing Sydney qualies is ok.

Wow....that's an ambitious schedule...playing Gold Coast and Sydney...? Well, hope she does well because she has virtually no points to defend until Indian Wells...and that could be a disaster for her ranking if she doesn't have some goood results....I bet she'll pull through!

GO RIKA!

Saw this chick play once a few years ago. Never seen anyone (woman) jump so high on their serve. She has some serious spring! Too bad she's not taller.

Rika won her first round qualifying in the Gold Coast 6-2, 6-3 against Jessica Moore of Australia! Go Rika!! Keep it up! She needs as many points as possible early this year since she has none to defend during this time and has a billion to defend in a few months...

After losing once again in the 1st round of a GS (Despite blowing 1 or 2 match points) Rika is having some good success in Tokyo:

Rika defeats Harkleroad 6-4, 6-2
Rika defeats Gullickson 6-7, 6-1, 7-5 (After being down 2-5 in the third!)

Next she plays Meilen Tu for a place in the MD! That's a winnable match! GO RIKA!
