PAW Players will face off each other in a knockout draw in this exclusive PAW Olympics Knockout Competition.

The rules are simple; just play the PAW Olympics in the main thread the same way ou would in a main tournament and the results by round will be automatically counted from a particularly group of your PAW’s.
I will post the ongoing results in a separate thread, remember the results will be live in the sense that matches can take a day or more to complete depending on when the first group of PAW’s you made have finished… (more on this later)

Sounds confusing? It’s confusing explaining it! But I’m confident it should work out. I am going to post deadlines for certain groups of PAW’s to be posted (eg PAW’s 1-4 must be done before round three), to ensure the competition can continue to flow through the week of the Olympics.

All players committed to the Olympics will be automatically placed in the draw, with the top 128 ranked getting in…

This is how the rounds will work…

R128 matches: PAWS 1-4 (+PAW5 if tie)
R64 matches: PAWS 5-7 (+ PAW4 if tie)
R32 matches: PAWS 8-11 (+PAW7 if tie)
R16 matches: PAWS 12-14 (+PAW11 if tie)
QF matches: PAWS 15, 16 (+PAW14 if tie)
SF matches: PAW 17, 18 (+PAW16 if tie)
F match: PAW 19 (+PAW18 if tie)

The aim of this game is to provide a continuous flowing knockout competition mirroring a “real” WTA player in a “real” WTA Tournament!

Note that this is an exhibition and no ranking points are involved here, even though we are using your main PAW’s to determine the results

Deadline to post PAW’s for each round:

R 128 - Wednesday 18th August (ie after all rounds 1 & 2)
R64 - Thursday 19th August (ie after all round 3)
R32 / R16 - Friday 201h August (ie after all QF)
QF / SF – Saturday 21st August (ie after all SF)
F – Sunday 22nd August


If players fail to meet their deadlines, they will “play” with less or no PAW’s for that round and hence are handicapped...

If two players who are drawn together (let’s take geegables and oren987 as an example) we will look into the player’s previous PAW from the last round (eg their PAW4 if we have a tie in the R64 match), and if this is still the same will look at both of their PAW3’s etc.. the one with the highest amount of points from the particular group of PAW’s wins)

I am conducting the draw now (on MSN) ... (there will be 32 seeds that will be randomly drawn from a hat placed) and then the unseeded players will fill the gaps for a complete 128 player draw.
