HEALTH and HAPPINESS to EVERYONE
Congrats to Olga on winning her first ever grand slam match. Now it's on to the big time against Mauresmo. I hope Olga will at the very least play a competitive match.
Happiness is like a cat. If you try to coax it or call it, it will avoid you. It will never come. But if you pay no attention to it and go about your business, you'll find it rubbing up against your legs and jumping into your lap. - William Bennett
it her small interview to tennis chanel after first rnd win Olga was more then satisfied but refuse to talk abt the game vs Momo
btw she said she is travelling withoput father now, cos father is too tired of Olga
She always had Russian citizenship, and was represented BEL cos her mother is from Minsk, but after juniors when she was needed to present her passport to wta she showed her Russian Passport and wondered why she was BEL (strange story)
She is living in DC Columbia but wants to move to Florida
Watching the match with Mauresmo and I LOVE the way Olga competes.
It looks as though perhaps she feasted too much over the holidays.
She hits pretty flat on both sides. Her backhand is the flatter of the two and produces more winners it seems. The "roundhouse" backhand motion, however, doesn't seem to leave her much control for topspin and could be a liability against great thinkers on the tour.
Best of luck though to a wonderfully beautiful girl and determined competitor. I'm hooked.
