Wildcards?
Are they fairly consistent with the wildcards from Birmingham? I can't really remember from last year!
Anyway, there should be ones for Elena, Amanda and Anne for MD (just because Amanda was not given one in Birmingham).
And Jane, Emily + Mel for quallies (and Karen if there is a fourth)

It would be better for Amanda to get a WC for qualies, she has all those points to defend, which she may find harder to do in the main draw.
Isn't Navratilova supposed to be be playing here?

lta will not want a situation that they ahd with amanda last year. remember although she qualified, she missed out on playing at wimbledon.
i imagine that only 2 brits will get main draw wildcards, due to the number of gold/silver exempt players that will want in. perhaps the qualy wildcards will be announced after pre-qualies has finished
