(4) Emilie Loit (FRA) d. (WC) Sandrine Testud (FRA) 64 67(11) 61
Looks like Sandrine played hard (as usual) but ran out of gas. Loit is really gonna be something at the French!

Did Loit hold any match points in the second set?

Sandrine She's clearly showing she can hang with anybody outside the top 25 by losing all these close matches to them (Loit, Lorenzo, Dechy, etc)...now it's just a matter of getting over the hump and winning one of these. Then we'll see the old Sandrine back.

Great effort against Emilie who is now 17-3 on clay this year especially that second set! Must have run out of gas in the third against the new and approved Loit. Keep plugging Sandy...
I have a feeling she's just teasing before she makes her big splash in Paris next week.
