Just an Update on Casey Dellacqua.

As i have mentioned before Casey is back in Perth recovering from a very severe dose of Glandula Fever. This was picked up early in her trip to USA and she kept on playing as the doctors didnt correctly diagnose it over there (stupid idiots), Casey has returned home to Perth and for weeks it was so bad she had no energy and wasn't even getting out of bed during the day. She has just started to recover but it is going to be a while yet before we see Casey back out on the Tennis court. Spoke with her aunty and Casey is really upset and pissed that every time she gets going she gets sick or injured and its really starting to upset her. Casey will definately not be back until late June at the extreme earliest probably July/August. Will let you know when she gets back training again.

Poor casey

Hope she gets better to catch the back end of the Asian tournaments and then she can have some practice going into the aussie challengers

One thing in her favour is that she doesnt have many points to defend she her ranking wont drop heaps

Well what a comeback casey is having this week in the 50K event at Los Gatos

Ranked 324 Casey has beaten

#230 Julie Ditty
#157 5-Angela Haynes
#92 1-Samantha Reeves (biggest win of her career so far) in Str8 Sets!

Id love to see Casey go all the way, tonight she plays number 4 seed #153 Maureen Drake, who i think Casey will be able to overcome in 3 sets

Glad to see Casey back out playing at this level after suffering from a really bad case of glandula fever

i think if she had of won last week and also got to semis or final this week she may have been an outside chance but i dont like her chances now does anyone know where she is playing next as there is no event besides a crappy 10k in the us next week

Jul. 19 Oyster Bay 50K
Jul. 26 Lexington 50K
Aug. 2 Louisville 50K
Aug. 16 Bronx 50K

Good performances in these events will give her a good bosst up the rankings and maybe get her into qualies at the asian wta events after the us open if she plays well

also hopefully nicole sewell goes back to the us so they can team up and boost their doubles rankings

does anyone know where nicole sewell is?
i think i'd better contact DR Young again
